The John and Ingrid Werler Society was named in honor of long-time Zoo Director, John Werler, and his wife Ingrid, whose impact on the Houston Zoo spanned four decades. This society is an honorary group created to recognize and thank members and friends who provide for the future success and stability of the Zoo by including a gift in their estate plan. Many times, a planned gift allows individuals to make a much more significant contribution than what they are able to give otherwise. These types of gifts may also provide donors with a variety of tax and estate benefits to meet individual needs. We encourage you to consult with your attorney and/or financial planner for advice tailored to your particular goals and circumstances.
